Summer Grand Sumo tournament. A high level completion was the highlight of this now rare event in Hawaii.
The tournament had an exciting conclusion. The first day of the grand sumo event ended with Asashoryu defeating Hakuho in match up of yokozuna. On the second night a rematch had Hakuhō Shō (白鵬 翔) beating Asahoryu. The two Yokozuna wrestled again for the over all champion chip in a play off match. Hakuho again defeated Asahoryu in an exciting final match. It came down to a test of power with Hakuho lifting Asahoryu out of the ring. More photographs.
